Smt.Chigurupati Vimala was born in Unduru village in East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh in a middle-class agriculture family as the second child. She completed post-graduation in public administration from Nagarjuna University, Hindi Sahitya Ratna from Allahabad Hindi Viswa Vidhyalaya and teacher training in Hyderabad.

Later, she came to Krishna district. Her service-oriented mind wanted to open a school, and she opened a school in Kankipadu village in 1982 to give quality education to rural children. She provided free education to thousands of children up to the 10th grade until 2007.

She had a daughter and a son. Both her children studied at the same school. Her son, Sudheekshan, while going to his college on November 3, 2006, got into an accident. On November 8, 2006, the boy left his mother alone and joined the Almighty! This tragic accident shattered her dreams and devastated her life. In her unbearable grief, she left her teaching profession and established a social service organization, Sudheekshan Foundation, in the memory of her beloved son on November 18, 2006.Her aim is that no mother should grieve like her. She dedicated her remaining life to social service. She is conducting many road safety and traffic awareness programs for high school and college students and serving society in many ways by undertaking activities like road safety, education, health, humanity, Skill development programs and many more.
